How to Crossdress in Public in London

Crossdressing in public in London can be a fun and empowering experience if you plan ahead.

Choose outfits that make you feel confident

Start in welcoming areas like Pride events or LGBTQ+ friendly neighbourhoods and always prioritize your safety.

Small accessories, makeup, and posture can make a big difference.

Crossdressing Days: My Journey

I feel like my partner is a bit hit-or-miss with me crossdressing.

It might be that I’m scared to explore it further with her, and my home life really doesn’t lend itself to wandering around the house in female clothes.

I did think about wearing female pyjamas to bed, but I have an autistic stepdaughter who finds non-typical things “weird.” She’s awake most of the night, so the idea of me getting up and bumping into her wearing female pyjamas would probably distress her

Planning My Cross-Dress Days

Because of this, I’ve started planning a series of crossdressing days — four per year. The plan is to tell my partner that I’m going to work, pack my clothes, head out to get changed, and spend the day by myself exploring both myself and a new place — probably London to begin with.

Money is tight, so I don’t want to feel guilty spending more than I have to on travel, food, and clothes. I still want to go to Pride this year, but I also want to have my space and do something just for me.

Budget-Friendly Fashion and Makeup

Recently, I’ve limited myself to buying makeup, and I’ve really enjoyed it — the colours, the feeling, the smells. But I want something more, and I feel like I deserve it in 2026

I’m actually quite excited! I’ve been thinking about what I’ll wear and will probably have a look through charity shops or Primark to keep costs low. The truth is, today nothing is cheap, so I want to be careful with my spending.

Freedom and Relationships

I’m also aware that this could be damaging to my relationship if I’m caught. Technically, I wouldn’t be doing anything wrong, but I would be deceiving my partner, which I don’t want to do. That said, I don’t think there is any harm in it. I would never cheat on her — I just want to have a few days of freedom
